Biography
Kamimura Ukyou was born in Ibaragi on February 1, 1972.
During his childhood nobody imposed him to study music. So, during primary school he learnt how to write traditional Japanese lenguage.
He played drums for the first time when he was at 5th year of primary school, but he preferred devoting to his great hobby: playing tennis.
He took a great interest in music when he was in high school, and he decided to learn playing guitar. But his attempt failed, so he tried drums.
Working part-time he had money and bought a drums, playing something like 5 hours a day and all day in Sunday.
Time passed away, and he is more and more determinated to become a professional musician. Bur he knew that the success could arrive only in Tokyo. So he left his city and went to Tokyo.
There, for a short perod, played with Kneuklid Romance. The period was short because, in the meanwhile Malice Mizer had lost their drummer and needed another one.
Yu~ki asked him to join Malice Mizer. At first he refused, but Mana persuaded him.
So Kami became Malice Mizer's drummer, at first as support, and then as official member.
He shared pain and gladness of the success, living the more exciting moment of the band, and the first part of the dark period, started in 1999 when Gackt decided to start a solo's career.
During those mounth, after Gackt left, Kami started composing songs (Unmei no Deai, Mori no naka no tenshi). But the fate didn't permit him to complete his works.
June 21, 1999 Kami dead in his house for concussion His corpse was found 5 days later.
By the way, Malice Mizer released an interview where they explain why they edited the single. If you read, it's moving how Mana, Kozi and Kami have wanted to remember their friend, called "eternal blood relative" and eternal member of Malice Mizer.
Talking about another interview, the question was "What Malice Mizer song do you have a lot of memories of, and why?" And he answered Kami's song Unmei no deai…

Talking about him, we can understand that he was a cheerful person, sensitive and sweet.
He liked Duran Duran and Culture Club. He didn't like American music.
When he was a child he used to watch anime about Japanese history. His favourite hobbies were playing tennis and collecting parfumes. Talking about food, he liked curry and his favourite animal was the butterfly.
